Professor Jean Claude Hache, Chair of the Silmo Academy symposium, is a renowned and respected neuro-ophthalmologist.

He was responsible for developing, for the first time in France, a department dedicated to the functional exploration of vision at Lille Regional University Hospital, which has rendered invaluable services in the fields of healthcare and education. His research is characterised by a diversity of approaches, ranging from the most basic procedures in clinics through to technology transfer.
